simonw I believe it accepted PoW (btc) at the time, yes (2016, way before a lot of us got on board). But the ICO is a small part of the ecosystem lifecycle. Check the variation of initial allocations for several projects.Permalink On twitter.com

simonw As to the motivation behind PoS, the usual recommendation is to watch the whiteboard video from 3 years ago at roadmap.cardano.org/en/ (And Cardano isn’t the only PoS but is a reference in the space with somewhat of a noble mission of banking the unbanked around the world.)On twitter.com
